I used to be..

I used to be the youngest one on staff

Now I've got 4 & 5 years on some of our new guys.

I used to be the one asking all the questions

Now I find myself answering a lot of them, and giving away all the stuff I've learned these past 7 or 8 years in ministry.

I used to be the one who struggled getting to the office before 8:15

Now many days, I find myself there before 7:15.

I used to get to spend money anyway I wanted

Now I spend all of it paying rent, utilities, trash, etc..

I used to weigh 210-215

I now weigh 175-180

I used to not take my day off.

Now I'm determined that I do.

I used to give my opinion the second I didn't agree with something.

I now hold my tongue, think, process and find out most of the time I was wrong in the beginning.

I used to procrastinate about the small boring day to day things.

I now only procrastinate some of the time about the small boring day to day things.

I used to be a baby about doing the stuff I didn't want to.

I now... well yeah, ok I"m still working on that one..

I used to be in love with chipotle.

I now find it undesirable and prefer not to eat there.

Ok, that last one was a total lie. I still love chipotle

I used to be stubborn.

I now... well, I'm still stubborn.

I used to want to be the boss.

Ok, well that hasn't changed either, but I know I've got a long way to go before I pastor a church of any size, and am completely grateful that I get to serve under our executive staff.

I"m not for sure what has happen to me over the past year, but these are some of the things I see, and know there's a lot of things that I can't wait to say.... I used to be...
